This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I find it odd in the top photo that the car doesn't have the "Charger 500" emblems in the photo when they are clearly there in the bottom photo. They are close enough to the headlight bezels that they should be in view in the top photo. Wonder why they chopped them out of that photo?

If you could figure out which coast that was photographed on one could figure out which of the press release cars it was. I don't see the transmission cooler line running under the car so my guess would be that its a 4 speed car.

I like how it also has the  rear bezels painted body color and not stripe color. Something that I have noticed on 3 of the very early 500's. Of the 3 VERY Early cars I have looked at all 3 had the bezels body color.

They flipped the image of the car. You can see the wipers are backward too. Cool ad, I've never seen it before. I like those hubcaps too, I just picked up a set of 4 (3 nice, 1 not so good) for $20 at the last swap meet I went to.
I'm thinking it is the same car used in the road test video thats on youtube.  :scratchchin:

I too love the hubcaps and will get a nice set once the car is on the road again.
"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

"........the four speed box changes cogs with the precision of a sharp axe striking soft pine."

Your right they did flip the photo I didn't notice that before. But I still don't think its the same car as the one on the youtube video. I'm not thinking its an AT car.

The only difference I can see is the roadtest car doesn't have the driver side headrest, just the chrome bezels like someone took it out.  :scratchchin: The ad car has both headrests. Any reason you think the ad car is not an auto car??

***correction-by the middle of the road test, the driver side headrest is back.  :shruggy:
