I'm getting ready to install the new headliner. What glue do you think is the best for glueing the padding to the roof?  I don't want this coming down. Thanks Tom

I use 3M spray adhesive 8090 on the insulation. It's high strength and won't let go later on down the road.
I then use 8074 on the headliner where it's glued along the edges.

I have had good luck with DAP brand contact adhesive brushable in a can found at any Lowe's or Home Depot.  Used it on my headliner pads and behind dash pads.

Personal preference, but I prefer brush on over spray on.  Always use a respirator as well as these adhesive fumes are very volatile. :2thumbs:

The spray does get a little messy so you need to cover the dash, etc. When doing the edges, you can spray some out and then use a brush. Before you install the headliner, you can use an electric iron to smooth out most of the wrinkles. Once you have it installed, what you see is pretty much what you get. It's not true that the summer heat will remove the wrinkles and tighten up the headliner later.
I will admit that I now take my headliners to a local trim shop to have them done. They do them all of the time and it's worth the money for me to not have to mess with it.  :yesnod:

Got the insulation in. Probably doing the headliner over the weekend. It started out as just freshining the interior a little now the car is gutted. Sent the clock to Performance Car Graphics and it's on it's way back already. :icon_smile_big:
