On my 68 charger taillights the small cone in the center is off center (crooked) Kind of like the heat from the bulb has melted it over time. all the other one I see are the same way, some worse than others. So is this the way they came from the factory? Or is this a common problem for all 68  Charger taillights?  Thanks Troy

terrible one

I know exactly what you mean. They are definitely supposed to be straight and I bet you're right that it's from bulbs getting too hot in there. The set of tail lights that came with my car had the mishaped ones like yours, and a nicer set I got they were perfectly straight still.

it is the bulbs they take a smaller 1157 bulb .go to your local parts store and have them give you the correct bulb.i believe its a different part #.but correct for 68.

well thanks for the answers guys. I thought I had seen some taillights were the little cones were straight, but I have seen so many warped ones I couldn't remember if they were supposed to be that way. I will check and see what the parts store has.

it,s a # 1034 bulb it's a cooler bulb not as hot as a 1157 and it's correct for 68.
