Shifter knob question?

In my 69 Charger, I have a green interior.
I haven't ever paid much attention, but always thought the shifter
looked more brown than green.  I was looking at it today, to decide
if I wanted to buy a new knob, and noticed the little cuts like
are in the woodgrain ones, and was wondering if the colored knobs
had those cuts in them too?  Or if I have a really worn out woodgrain?

No colored shift knobs, it's a worn out woodgrain.
