Looking to buy both the headliner and the carpet for my car soon. Who to buy from? Who to stay away from? Do th replacement kits come with the padding/insulation or do I have to buy that seperate?

Hello,

I bought all my upholstery items from Legendary. Their products fit, are of the highest quality at good prices and match the OEM upholstery perfectly. Avoid YearOne because: 1-They are expensive, 2- Their shipping costs are robbery and 3-They get a lot of their upholstery from Legendary.
Legendary's carpet kits come with the jute backing already attached to the carpet and if your car is a console car like mine, the kits also includes the 3 little carpet pieces that go on the console - great stuff too. I purchased a new vinyl top from them also. Good luck and pix please when its done.

Thanks for the tip. The color is a 1970 Pontiac color, Turquoise Mist. I'd say it's a brighter/greener and more metallic shade than Q5 I saw it on a lemans at the junkyard one day and decided I liked it and chose it to be different.

IMO, Legendary's carpets and headliners are of excellent fit and quality.

Keep away from TrimParts carpets, the front carpet is rubbish and doesn't fit the tunnel good at all.
I was very disappointed and they would not return my emails when I told them about the issues.

Hey that's pretty nice looking stuff. What was the cost to your door for the carpet?

I can't find the slip.  Bought the interior last April.  Just starting on it now.  I know my time management isn't very good.

I agree with 68r/t. trim parts carpets just dont fit nicely over the tranny tunnel. I laid mine out for three days before installing to get rid of the creases and its been 4 months since I installed it and the creases are still there. Don't make the mistake I did, go with Legendary. I am seriously considered getting a new one from Legendary even though mine is still new.

My headliner, sailboard panels and headliner insulation showed up from Dante's today. I have to say I was pretty disappointed in the insulation, every thing else looked good. It looks like the cheap dacron stuff on a roll in the Wal Mart fabric section. has anybody used this stuff? Did you replace it with something else? if so what?

I talked to them...Too expensive. And too late now. seriously has anybody used this stuff I was thinking of replacing it with some dense foam about 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick I saw some that is supposed to be mildew and mouse resistant.

Legendary is good but not perfect.  Their '69 Charger vinyl seat button thingys have been falling off for at least the last 15 years.
