Hi guys!
I want to remove the moldings on the side of my car, but I cant understand how they
are attached...?

They don´t seem to be screwed, I cant feel nothing on the inner side , glued perhaps
I would like not to mess up the paint :rotz:

Those appear to be the adhesive type. You should be able to carfully peel them off. You will need to clean off the remainder of the 2 sidded tape with adhesive remover such as 3m adhesive remover or Goo gone, Etc.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

ok I see,
any suggestions on what tool to use

Just 6T9 CHGR

If they are indeed the adhesive type, I'd heat them up nicely with a heat gun to soften up the vinyl & release the glue easier.....carefully pry up a corner with a plastic pry tool to start...

Hi Linus,

Welcome to the site!

I've used the 3M adhesive remover and it works very well. I'm not a fan of GooGone because it leaves an oily residue. As far as tools are concerned just use your fingers.....nothing else. Start at one end of the trim and slowly peal it away. You might also wish to use a heat gun or hair drier to warm up the trim/adhesive. good luck.

Thanks Tom!
Wery helpful! I´m gonna buy that 3Mstuff soon as possible
and hopefully get rid of my side moldings for good!
I think the car looks far better without them
more street race.
