Kids Christmas card pic, can someone help me with photoshop?

girl 5, boy 18 months.  My little one is sick and not cooperating with the christmas card pic.  I have a bunch of pics, but in 1 she is smiling, he's not.  then in others he is smiling and she's not.  I have several in almost the exact same pose in the same spot.  I was wondering if someone could take the photos and combine them.  see attach.

I would like to take the boy from photo 2 and put him in place of himself in photo 1.

I am sorry I can't help you with photshop but for what it's worth, I start taking pictures in July for the Christmas card!

I think the first pic is great by itself!

I did some quick red eye, cropping & color adjustments for ya........I even took out the date!

Heres my pic of my girls I took yesterday as well......they get easier as they get older

I just did this same thing yesterday with a picture of my nephew, who wasn't cooperating for my brother last week.    

Looks like fifth beat me to it, but here's my attempt at it.   Your son's face is at a different angle in the 2 pics, so it makes it a bit hard to just chop his smile from one pic to the other.   Your daughter on the other hand was at the same angle in both pics, more or less, so I transferred her smile from photo 1 into photo 2.   If you'd like, email me the full size photos and the edited photo should hopefully turn out a bit better.
