Close to the fender tag  - in looks anyway.

F8 Green
White interior
What I am gong to change up is the colour of the vinyl top - going with white instead of the dark green.

I'm going to go through the 440 that was in it. The guy I bought from gave me a receipt for a rebuild - not sure if he had it done or if he got it from the person he bought the car from... was that you? I forget the order, now. :D

I can dig up the receipt. Maybe you know the shop. I'd be interested to hear what you think of them if you do know it.
I do have an original intake that I can put on in place of the Torker II that's on there now. And an correct carb as well.
I need to think through the setup based on the cam that's in there. I have the paperwork on that as well.

I'd like to go with factory discs - they are still on there, but it's getting tougher to get the parts.

Other than that, I'll keep it pretty much stock looking. I'll sneak some convenience upgrades in there - like headlight relays for one.

Now, I say all that, but every once in a while I find myself looking at a shiny new high performance front suspensions system, and sighing longingly. :D

If my memory serves me, it was a 69 440 in it,ran rough, needing a rebuild. That's the way I sold it.

That's the engine I have. It was rebuilt already.
I just found the invoice from the shop: Ed's Auto Machine in Naugatuck, CT
And it's written out to the guy that I bought the car from - so he did do some work to it.

It's got a new cam 484 lift, 284 duration - I think that was customer supplied since I have a separate receipt for it.
The shop put about $640 worth of parts and $1000 in labour.
bored over .030
block and heads were magna fluxed
6 broken bolts removed

all the machining done - some of the details are hard to read..
crank was polished

looks like the paint used was chevy plastic coat.  :rotz:

That was done in 99 and I got the car in 2002, I think it was.. the engine was just plunked in the engine bay.
It sat for a while there and has been sitting ever since. I'll need to go through it all.
maye I'll actually hear it run one day.

And some more recent pics.   :drool5:

Driver's side is in polyester primer and most of the panel alignment is done. The rest will get done once it's off the spinner.

Awesome buddy  :2thumbs:

That is coming along great ! Did you cut drain holes in your subframe connectors?

Thanks!

The subframe connectors are from US Car Tool and they come with those holes already cut.

Nice peices. Needed a little bit of trimming here and there - but we're pretty sure it was more about the shape of my car rather than the product.
Besides, it was only a couple of spots.
