What kind of trans was used in a '66 Belvedere with a wide-block 318? Will a 904 trans from a LA 318 bolt up to a wide block 318?

The poly 318 was never mated to any automatic but the 727. The LA 904 will bolt up but one bolt hole may be a half-hole off.
