Remember the discussion on /6 and 318 prices? Look at this '68's price...

Charger Aficionado

She's   ending VERY soon, but take note how low her price is...   I think if she were an "R/T clone" she'd well have been over 10k for some time...   We'll see if she goes-up in the last few mins or breaks reserve...   But 8k for a COMPLETE solid-looking car?   I'd love to have her...   (But I like 318 cars)...

'68 on eBay

O.K. Admittedly;   She's "1 of 1", but who cares???   If she was an R/T clone, she'd make the money.   Maybe the rare '68 383 4-speed combo, but no love for the small blocks...

  KEYWORD HERE:  "NO BONDO"

Cool ride. Take a look in the fenced-in area. Whats that old limo looking thing? I like it! And is that a ragtop fish beside it?

I didn't notice that (too busy looking at her)...   But yeah that's a cool vehicle...   Never saw one like that...

Sure enough is a rag fish...  There is one of those here locally, and the guy swears it's worth a MINT.  Are they rare?

Welp...   Ended, with not another bid...   There's your sign.

I should've bought that for Big Lebowski's friend in S.D. Chris Kane...   He offered to do my C500 for a Nice '68...

  Dan where you at???

I'm honestly too busy to do it right now...  I'd be CHEAP and fly out to get it...  I've been trying to call the guy...  That'd make a NICE 4-speed car!

Hey Jude
Yep I was keeping an eye on that one and just came in the door. I would probably have been
serious about it but I can now longer drive a clutch car as you know   :'( :'( :'(

YES I WOULD HAVE KEPT IT AS STOCK AS POSSIBLE, Interesting car all around.

The old limo thing is a "Checker" & they made several configurations of them. The most common one is the big yellow cabs that were all over the cities. (Especially New York City) I loved riding in the back of these as a kid with the folding jump seats.   :icon_smile_big:

Rare?  Somewhat.  Valuable?  Not especially.  Unless it's a Formula S ragtop.

Dude, Kane is so busy, he needs to get some cars out the door before he takes on more work, he farms out most of the work anyway. And i hate to say it but he might finish that '68 before he finished your car, just because he needs to pay for yours with that $$$. Kanes got good phone #'s for metal guys, paint guys, one week bondo & flip guys, parts guys, etc. but i did some great firewall restos for some of his customers. New wiring, shiny wiper motors, new heater nuts really nice. You could save yourself $75 an hour shop time doing all these things the way he does.
Lets face it, i worked there 2 years just to finish my own car, then go on my own. I have full time work with my construction remodels, and a '70 Road Runner 512HP 440 4 speed rotisserie, '70 Challenger R/T 440 motor rebuild, '73 Sat. Sebring   Plus that i can't give away, and the Six-pack Charger. Lots a work.

Just got off the phone with the owner and he is asking $11,600.

He said one guy offered him $10,000.

The charger is about 2 1/2 hours from me!! ;D
