A. That thread is almost 3 years old.

B. Bugsy is retarded

C. I HIGHLY doubt he'll do anything but sit around and fantasize about it.

So don't worry, I think this one can be put to bed

I don't really see a problem with it. The guy who wants to make it is a member here and a genuinely nice guy. So what, he beats up some old bondoed up rusty panels...who cares. It not like he's gonna jump it and kill it like Dukesfest. :Twocents: Even Justin said...

"Funny you mentioned that Bugsy. I was seriously thinking about possibly doing that with my parts charger. But like Jim Shine said, I was affraid that people (even at Dukes events) wouldn't really get it. I've still kinda been kicking around the idea. Here is a picture of the car. Of course I would not use the good body panels like the doors and fenders. The driver fender has been wrecked before and is full of bondo. I'm not 100% positive that I will build the 71 car but just thought about it a few months back. Hey, it's the same color LEE 1 started as, so at least I wouldn't have to jamb it out first.... and look, chrome rocker mouldings too!!! This is LEE 1's long lost brother!"

PS: I'm talking about Corndog...not Bugsy ;)

This car can be saved, have you seen the work 1hotDaytona has done on his Daytona clone? His car wasn't this bad but it was close.

Sure it "can" be saved, but 1HotDaytona owns his own body shop and is a professional bodyman, therefor he can save money on the most expensive part of the project by doing it himself.  For most of us here doing this much metal work will be cost prohibitive.

Either way, its this guys car so he can build it the way he wants.   :yesnod:
