Congrats to Shelby! Looks to be in real nice shape. I hardly ever see one up here in New England anymore- you were pretty lucky to find one that nice.

I'l take pics of her cleaning it, just for you

Jackie, be careful what you post..... or Cody could be the only 17 year old with a pacemaker!!!  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

.....just some friendly kidding from good ol' Uncle Tufcat.  :2thumbs:

Tufcat, It's pretty cold here. So I'm sure she'll be bundled up.

We've gonna be putting the clutch and CV axles in this weekend.  :2thumbs:  OK, I'm gonna watch and run for food and beer.

We have been busy as heck the last 2 days. The Daytona has a new clutch, CV axles, struts, valve cover gasket and tuned up. I didn't think that much leaves and pine needles could get in the cowl.  :eek2:   And I don't think my hands will ever come clean.  :pity:

Good thing you got those out!

Needles block water and make moist nests for rust to start! - ugh  :eek2:

Jackie, there are other places that you need to search...like the bottoms of front fenders for example.  The cowl could drop needles down there also. Look into the bottom of the fenders (look through the door opening) and check for debris. Also check the plugs at the lower door flanges, to make sure they're free and clear.

...I know. its a messy job. But somebody has to do it!

Thanks , Tufcat. There is some crap there too :eek2: We have to get the power washer over.  :2thumbs:

jaak

cool 'lil ride! Reminds me of the '87 Daytona I drove when I was 17, it was real similar, had a different nose, the one with flip up headlights.
