There should be a connector on the bottom of the heater box that is attached to the water control valve on the firewall.
Its just to the right of the center console / trans tunnel.

I'm pretty sure it's only purpose is the cycle the A/C comprosser for like 20 seconds during winter months to circulate lubricant in the system

There's also a time delay relay for the light above the ignition switch.

The purpose of the time delay relay is to energize the compressor for a few minutes when Heat or Defrost is selected, this prevents the windshield from fogging up due to the warm air hitting the cold glass.

In '70 they got smart and just run the compressor continuously in the Defrost mode to dehumidify the windshield (and the whole interior).
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Just got done taken everything out of my 69 a couple weeks ago and here are a couple pics of the AC time delay relay, that is attached to the bottom of the blower box with two screws

Heres one of where it attaches to the bottom of the blower box:

I wonder if anyone sells that time delay relay that attaches under the heater case----factory or aftermarket?

It is under the A/C heater box on the right hand side facing the floor.
