Im looking at one for my son as a replacement for his 95 Eagle Talon that starting to rust out in the front. The Stealth has no rust but a possible motor problem. V-6, 6 speed std.Any comments good or bad.

4forty

Don't know to much about them except I liked the twin turbo R/T AWD, nice looking and quick, reliability-wise it's a Mitsubishi powertrain so it's probably not too bad to maintain. you don't really see 'em that much anymore.

I was looking to buy one but never found the right one, here are some things I learned.
-Check the oil pan, if there is a dent on the bottom of it, you have a problem the oil pickup starves very easily.
-The computers sometimes fail and the goo leaks out
-The electronic suspension sometimes doesnt work
-The SRS light sometimes comes on, could be a clock spring
-Get a battery hold down
-Make sure the 60,000 or 120,000 mile tuneup was done and the water pump was replaced at that time

My roommate sold one a couple years ago. It was fairly reliable, solid, quick enough, got decent mileage (for a V6), and was cheap. The big issues to watch for were the timing belt and computer (which can be found online reasonably priced).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

If it was owned by a kid forget it. I had one (91 TT) that a kid owned. Little parts always breaking, parts very expensive, my local Dodge dealer (Tri-City Dodge) said they didn't want to work on it because they had no one really qualified to work on them ::)
Transmissions are very weak, third gear will eventually break. Notorious for jumping timing and bending valves if you don't pay attention to the maintenance schedule. Front electronic suspension sucks, could never figure out why mine wouldn't work. Dodge no longer make any of the body panels.
If you need to change the back plugs you need to remove the twin turbos.
I traded it to some shyster for a 00 Grand Cherokee. He sold it to some kid who blew the tranny while driving down the highway.

Unless it was brand new in a box I won't touch it, oh yeah, insurance was $$$$$$$ for it.

Only if it's dirt cheap or better yet free!   Figure it's already 17 years old.  The kid probably thinks it's sexy as all hell and wants it bad tho.

Not that that matters when we deal with 40 year old toy cars but it matters when a kid has 1 car and has to try to go to work to pay for the repairs.

If it was a cheaper non turbo car that was basic transportation you could keep it duck taped and bailing wired together for a long time.   This thing would probably spend more time on blocks in the driveway.

Well, I can tell you I was around when I was backing these things off the trailers BRAND NEW...When they were new, Ok, I'd cruise it, but @17 years old, leave it alone, unless that is, you actually LIKE pulling the intake upper plentum to change plugs...

Martian R/T

Built by Mitsubishi = very expensive to fix,  plus most parts are obsolete from Chrysler.
