engine color

Have the origional 383 off getting rebuilt and was asked what color I wanted it repainted. The origional color was aqua but that was for the two barrel. I am going with a four barrel mainfold after getting it back. Thoughts on the pros and cons of aqua verses orange?

This car has already cost me more than I thought. I was carrying the rear axle from my pickup after having it rebuilt and tripped over a cat at the garage, nothing like falling down while holding 100 pounds of steel to your chest. Laugh, sneeze, or cough, it all hurts the same.

aww man  , ouch that had to hurt !!  nothing broken ?? , could of been real bad ! with that weight     , is the cat ok ??
color !! if the motor is going in a 68 , if it were me i would  paint it stock color , all 383 s were  turquiseisblueish that year

If you want it to look correct, paint it the stock color. If you want it to look good, paint it orange. My

For a 68 paint it turquoise (4bbl or 2 bbl or even 440). if you paint it orange people will always assume it's not original.

And another good reason- it seems like everyone goes with orange.  It's kind of refreshing to see a stock colored block.
