 I have a after market fuel gauge and i just put in a new sending unit. How do i get the gauge to read the proper fuel level.

The resistance range of the sender must match the range of the aftermarket gauge, if you're trying to use an aftermarket gauge with the factory sender the gauge must be for a sender with a range of 10-73 ohms.
