In a parts interchangebook I have the lower controlarms of a -68 (with swaybar) has a different partnumber then the one for a -70 but are they
really different or do they fit both years? :scratchchin:

The control arm would fit your car and could be used but the sway bar is attached differently in 1970 so in that aspect it isn't a true interchange.

The swaybar is closer to the spindle on a 68, on a 70 the swaybar is mounted differently.  :yesnod:

Thanks guys  Need a pair for my challyproject and it seems the -70 E and B-bodys are the same, mine doesn't have the "ear" for the swaybar.

So what you are actually looking for are a pair of 70 E body lca's with sway bar mounting brackets?

I think "Firm Feel" sells them with the reinforcement plates welded on and ready to go.  :scratchchin:

Indeed :2thumbs: Maybe I have a strange way of expressing myself.

In theory, if you had no front swaybars on either car, then a 1968/69 lower control arms and K-frame would fit onto a 1970 Charger/Challenger and vice versa.  The sway bar mounting setup was the only difference.

The 1970 Setup has been more supported by the aftermarket than the 1968/69 setup because it appeared on the highly desirable 1970-72 E-bodies.
