No I am not that mechanically challenged that I cant rebuild a carb, but it did take me that long, the last time I drove it the back float was sticking and I had a good gas shower going on, so I parked it and took the carb off, that was April, I took it to work and tore it apart, then into a box it went while I tried to come up with the money for a proform carb center, April through September are the hottest months here in Tucson so nothing goes on with the carb, I didn't even uncover the Charger in that time, so two weeks ago I bring the carb to work with me and start working on it, I had bought a rebuild kit and a new power valve, I never did come up with enough money for the proform with the way work has been going, but it still took me an entire Saturday to put it together between mechanics wanting parts and other dumb stuff at the dealership, so it is finally finished and last weekend in between honey do's I get it put on, after I get everything hooked up I was playing with the linkage, making sure everything is working and installed correctly, my six year old daughter comes out and wants to help, so I let her push the gas pedal up and down while I am checking the carb and I notice the back plates aren't opening up completely, so I get looking and the cable is bottoming out before it reaches full open, I don't know how long it has been this way, but its fixed now, so I am looking forward to a good long test drive Saturday. :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

I know how tough it can be to cram five hours of work into five months but with a little sweat and skill it can be done. :2thumbs:
