I picked up an engine over the weekend. The guy said it was a 440 but when I saw it I knew it didn't quite look like any 440's that I've seen. Anyway, the pad by the distributor says HT 413 and below that it has a 3 and an 8 and then in the lower right corner it has a 2.  Does the HT mean anything? I haven't seen that one.

2264192 is the number from the manifolds.

Believe its a mopar 413 engine. They were used in motor homes and trucks i believe.

That's interesting. That's an exhaust manifold casting number for truck 413, but the casting date appears to be from 1987. Perhaps it's a replacement manifold, but it could be an industrial or marine 440. Anybody know if production went past '79 for any applications?

It came out of a 1972 motorhome. I thought they stopped building the 413 back in the 60's, and the HT had me curious.  :scratchchin:

"H" is the year code for 1972, "T" is the plant code for the Trenton engine plant.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Great, Thanks John. Now I just gotta figure out what I'm going to do with this thing.  :scratchchin:  I know where there is a dart swinger that I guess I could put it in but the woman wants more for it than what I think it's worth.
