426 Hemi intakes

This is just one of those theoretical questions as much as anything but it's how my little mind seems to work some days.
I see in the MP lineup there are two aluminum dual four inline intakes for the 426 Hemi.  One is drilled for Carter carbs and the other for Holleys.  My question is this; since the Holley float bowls necessitate moving the carb mounting pads further apart on the intake toward the ends, how do you think it affects the flow between the two styles?  It looks tome like the Holley one has to alter the way the runners are laid out but I don't know it it's for better, worse, or no change.
