Traded my '06 Charger last night.

I think I broke a record with this one.. Got it, modified it pretty nicely, and traded it in on a new truck last night (started to panic because I had 3 cars to put away this winter and NO 4X4!!).

It was a fun car, and EXTREMELY comfortable, but I honestly don't think I'd buy another. The throttle lag (even AFTER programming) drove me absolutely nutty.

Bye bye, Charger!!!

The good part? I paid $18k for it 4 months ago, and after putting VERY LITTLE $$ (more time than anything) into it, I got $18.5k trade in on it!! So I'm pretty happy with that!!

cool, which truck you ended up buying?

Well, I wanted an SUV (with the options of the wife's Navigator) but I NEEDED a truck bed back.. So I jumped 1/2 way in the middle..

Why did you want SUV? I'm just so anti-SUV, I think they're worthless. If you need to carry passengers get a car if you need to haul something get a truck.

To each his own  This is the best of both worlds, interior room and hauling abilities.. Now, the wife's Navigator is a PIG.

But like I said, everyone wants something different. Cars are cramped and lack interior room, and I just got rid of my truck.. Been there, done that.

And my Vette carries as many passengers as I want to haul

That was quick..... :hah: :smilielol:

Yeah, I know it.. Then again, there must be some reason I had 48 cars and 9 bikes between 15 and 18 years old.  :scratchchin:

in 3 years? Dang!

Yeah, I had a bit of a problem, but it was the running joke in school.. "What will he show up in today??". The regret I had was taking an original '69 Skylark GS455 Convertible and chopping the rear quarters with a wizz wheel to fit an old set of 50's under there  :smilielol:

Well, at least it's the same basic shape as the Charger... ;)

As for SUVs, the only thing I'm disliking about my Tahoe is that the interior is too nice to haul around greasy/rusty parts so I really miss my truck bed. On the other hand, parts are expensive and at least they're locked inside. It's also handy for group lunches and my nieces love the rear TV/DVD.

You really drive in the winter with those wheels?

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

On the Avalanche?? That's not the exact truck I got, just an example of the model. Mine's got brand new wheels/tires on it, but also comes with the stock wheels/tires for the winter. I'll lift it a bit and make it "mine", other than that I just want a daily driver I can USE.

The 455 didnt come out till 70 in the Skylark. Still a GS 400 is a different ride.

cool deal. i got rid of my 08 charger pretty fast. they are ok, nothing exciting. i always have to have a truck around as well for towing. i LOVE my 09 Challenger and got an older 01 ram 1500 4x4 for towing/truck duties.  congrats on the chevy. the charger is not all it's cracked up to be. around here it is as common as a civic and a soccermommamobile

Nice! Congrats on the Challenger!! AWESOME ride!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty soon I'll have the Chevy built up so that I can call it MINE, until then I'll have to live with the fact that I actually 'blend in with traffic', as my wife says

I just got back from a long weekend with friends about 5 hours each way there and back....we have an 02 tahoe z71 and it's the best "road car" of any vehicle I have ever owned.  I know it's a pig on gas and you can haul more people/things in a minivan...but I love it.  I love being high up, I love that it will do 80-85 if you just tap the gas a bit.  It's got leather/power everything.  I love that it looks good too.
