what can a person use to seal  a hole in the gas tank

ODZKing

Not sure about sealing but, for the amount of headache you'll have, they are inexpensive enough.  Get a new one.

I spent that much repairing and cleaning mine 14 years ago...wow the price has come down! Very good investment.

You won't get straps, sending unit and tank for under $200. You will get tank for under $200 though

Yeah but in most cases all you need is the tank.

to the OP.......I've sealed gas tank holes with JB weld in the past.....in the event of rust your best bet is to replace your tank though, because odds are for every hole you repair there will be 3 more that just haven't worked their way through yet  :brickwall:

myk

Seeing a fresh tank under your car is better anyway.  If you've got the money put in a new sending unit too...
