Aftermarket gauge brand reliability

I'm thinking of making a custom dash and the choices of gauges and brands are many.  I've never heard bad things about the Autometers but does anyone have any other brands they don't or do have problems with?  I like the carbon fiber Autometers and a couple of the Stewart Warner's and I know there are many I haven't even seen yet.  Any recommendations to offer.  Not sure if $$$ always reflect quality in some gauges either direction but if anyone has some links to places with good prices please post them.
