You would think though for that kind of asking money, the pie pan on the air cleaner would be a Dodge, not a Plymouth version and the booster?....................... Guess they like the checker flags...

Kick butt car nonetheless............

And route the booster hose down below the air cleaner under the bracket.  I love that color also.  Not sure it will bring that money for the times?
Problem with cars like that is they cost so much and are so perfect, you don't want to drive them.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Interesting that this car has the woodgrain shift ball.  Mine has the chrome knob and my VIN is later than this one...

What's the ruling on the switch over from chrome to woodgrain???  :shruggy:

And not to be too pickey, but for that price the details matter, shouldn't the throttle return spring be green?

absolutely a great car.

I was told by several Mopar guys that you could get either ball throughout the year.  Mine is a Nov 68 car and had the chrome ball ( if it was original after 40 years ).

wayne perkins has been tracking them for years and all the original automatic cars he has ever seen from back in  the day have always had the chrome handle .  Only restored cars have shown up with the woood grain .

No - No - No

They can have either - This is well documented.

Personally I have yet to see a HEMI AT Daytona with a wood grain shifter knob on it. However the 440 powered cars are a different story. Seen them both ways. On the 500's though it seems to be a different story. I haven't seen many 440 powered 500's with a chrome knob, vast majority have the wood grain.

Is this an early / late thing or just a crap shoot as to what shifter knob you got?

maxwellwedge

You would think it was an early/late deal but crapshoot is the best technical explanation!
