  This retro ad claims to be a kind of 1 of 1 daytona .It might be the only daytona with less than a 1000 miles on it and has a 383
The other ad Sept 69 saying for the public that it would be virtually impossible to get one.And if the daytona failed Chrysler was gonna scrap the program.

    Then we have this dealer willing to rip out motor and trans out of a new 69 daytona.Which might explain the 1000 mile daytona with a 383 in it.Dealer sold his drivetrain

What A story,,,,,,,,odds are very good thats my car!!!!  It is well known that Century Motors,,Winnipeg turned the car into drag race condition ,,when it was brand new,,,one story is,,The day it was unloaded off transport,,,,,other story is ,,,after 6 mon,,or so when it did not sell,,, either way it was going drag raceing.  A good friend of mine,,,,,,,,,,,spent days& days in 1991,trying to find orginal parts for the car,  he talk's personelly with people who ,,took out the 440,,,,,,cut top out of trans,,hump,,took off steel nose, trashed it,, and made a fiberglass one that was 2in narrower,, . I have it all on paper.
Here is what I got when I bought it,  Body shell,,,two fenders, core support, interior had been put back in,, had been converted to 383,,auto,,I got neither one,, had mag wheels,,dana was gone,,,hood and complete nose was fiberglass trash, and it has 15100 miles on it today.

I will go back and see if that was Canada ad for the 383 Daytona Update Jim it was in the Winnipeg paper thats more documentation
