There are aa few things I'd like to do with the car, but with it being a survivor I really don't know if I should. I'd like to have the vinyl top repaired in a few places to keep it from ripping, repair the cracked arm rests, and I'll add the dome light lense to the list. I just can't decide if I will be helping the car or hurting it.  :scratchchin:

i don't see a problem with the dome light,.. the new ones are far too light in color much more white than tan and they don't fit the look of the rest of the car,.. I know cause i had to buy one for the charger... perhaps a thread?..  :scratchchin:
Like "does anyone else find they have to "age" their new replacment parts to fit the patina of their 40 yr. old car" - like I had to do for the BSGs' Washer Bottle?  :yesnod:

You make an interesting point Brock.  As I'm sure you already know it's been happening in the guitar hobby for years.  You can buy new "aged" guitars, new parts or aged ones.  Quite different from us in some ways.  On the other hand, the entire Rat Rod craze is about making a new rod that looks like it has been sitting in a barn for the last 50 years so there are definitely car guys out there doing it.

Beautiful survivor! A perfect car to cruise in.

I guess as far as replacing damaged original stuff goes...if you stash the old stuff in a box & not throw it away, I don't see the harm in it.
Congrats on your score, that thing's a real beauty!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Wow, fantastic find.  You must be in hog heaven.

Damn that's sweet.

I'm looking at a 68 Satellite that I'll buy if I can sell my Charger. Not in as good condition as this one, but a pretty solid driver.

I wasn't smart enough to look at his picture. Best looking 74 I've ever seen. :2thumbs:
