Steering column is different, 70 had the ignition switch in the column, 69's were in the dash...so you are gonna probably have to change dash harness also, unless you are good at making one.

Inside door panels are different, seats, tail lights, the 70's had the long tail light panel trim...side markers

SE trim for what??

Please, use 69 marker light in the rear quarters! Looking good so far. What kind of plug is that?

No reason to add the SE trim for a Daytona even though they built a few SE Daytonas.
My Daytona clone is actually a 69 R/T SE.
I removed the rocker trim and the sail panel SE emblems, but left the SE woodgrain cluster and dash pieces. Now I kind of wish that I had left the sail panel SE emblems. I also stayed with the leather interior, but added headrests whcih my car didn't have. I don't think any leather interior SE cars had headrests.

hi...it was a se car from new so i have all the wood, console pistol grip shifter,etc...thought i would leave dash and column alone just change around the big bits, seats door trims etc, thats why i asked about 69 se interiors..this is the only clone thats popped up downunder so far...not counting the real one in victoria, so im really only trying to finish it as a tribute not a complete copy...as it wont have much to compare it to,..will fit a pillar moulds and are going to paint it a daytona color...more pictures to come...been a wild ride so far...mopar madness :eek2:

SE cars that would have been built after january 1st of 69 would have all had headrest. Although those built before january 1st of 1969 it would have been optional. It was mandated by law once jan 1969 rolled around though.

They're glued in. You can use urethane, but they were originally installed using butyl tape. Seems like they used 5/16.
3M has them in 5/16 and 3/8 both. Just be sure to use rubber filler blocks at the bottom when setting them in to keep them from sliding down. Sometimes the blocks are in the boxes of with the butyl tape.
