This year at the Mopars @ Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ an '09 Hurst modified Challenger showed up.  The owner, Bill, who was a really nice guy, was there with his son & the car.  He explained to me that he just picked it up the Tuesday prior to the show.  He waited 2 months for the car to be built.
His car is #4 of a production run of 50 total cars to be built in the "Series-5" trim (which adds a price of $36,450 OVER the base purchase price of an '09 6-speed Challenger SRT8)  Each car is signed by the Hurst President, CEO, Chariman, development team, builders etc in various spots on the car (some visible in engine compt)
The only difference between a Series-4 & a 5 is the color change to a special mix of Pearl White (there are no factory built white SRT8 Challengers so a repaint of whole car is necessary except engine compt)
The Magnaflow exhaust along with the Vortech Supercharger mated to the 6.1L made 572HP of sweet music when he started it & gave a few quick revs :drool5:
The lowered stance, wheels & rear spoiler really set the lines of the car off.
Bill told me that now since Chryselr is shutting down production for a while the Hurst line might die out since there are no cars available to modify.  They wont modify an existing owners car....it must be a new off the line model (for warranty purposes I guess)
Here's the website for more info (In case you want to order one) and a few pics I took at the show.

Its cool but I dont think it needs 4 parking spots. :icon_smile_blackeye:

Im sure in 20 years or so the signatures may mean something if they dont get killed trying to keep the car clean. :shruggy: The idea of building and selling a collector never seems to work. ask the '78 Anniversary Corvette owners.  cars become collectable theyre not built to be that way. Will it be worth some coin down the road? probably, but when you look at the added cost vs an SRT I dont think it will recoup the extra $$$. :eek2: Want to get that money back stop taking it,park it and just forget about it. the son will get to reap the rewards.  :drool5:
wingless now, but still around.

I think he definitely got in at the right time as far as collectablity  is concerned

Right, 16 spots  would have been better! You can never be too far away from another car IMHO! That thing is awesome and your car looked right at home next to it.  Thanks for sharing! :2thumbs:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
