Well, 3 of those cars are all at the same dealer, so if he is high on one, he'll be high on all of them.  One thing to consider is that he is simply trolling for a fish and he is baiting the hook with high prices in order to catch a big fish.  He really isn't too interested in dealing with what he would consider the "riff-raff"(guys like me).  He really doesn't care to much if his prices are a little out of line.  He's a Corvette dealer.  He'd probably rather deal in 'vettes, so if he has a high price on the 'birds he's probably thinking he might hook a collector who might want to trade him a 'vette or two for the blue 6-pack 'bird.  The other thing to consider is, asking prices don't make the market, sales do.  He can ask all he wants and it doesn't reflect on what any of our cars are worth.  If asking prices dictated the market I should have been able to sell a freshly restored 68 Hemi Charger 4 speed car for at least $100,000 since that would still be a little less than all of the other 4 speeds out there.  Unfortunately the real market felt my car was worth no more than $50,000.  At that price I'll keep it, thank you very much.
All of this is just my :Twocents:

Isn't that close to what the "asking" price for that repo'd daytona was a couple of years ago? If so then you are right in the ballpark maxwellwedge! Course its a BIG ballpark!

Hey, Like I've said for years - Pigs get Fat - Hogs get slaughtered........I'll let you have it for 1.2!

I am not even going to say what I sold my orignial Hemi 4-speed Superbird for back in the mid 1980's....(tears are coming to my eyes)
Every time my wife and I attend a car auction, and there's a Superbird for sale...she asks me "why" I sold mine.  I try to explain that back then they were not worth anything like they are today....
That's why I have a clone today: I missed my wingcar, but was unwilling to pay what people want for wingcars today) :brickwall:

My kids ask me the same question.  Hey, I made decent money on all of mine, but every January I take out the "kick me" sign for selling by 1983.

Hey, Wingcar, I see you're in Mesa.  Ever make it out to Glendale?  (Of course, I'm working in Tempe.)

I think we all have one of those "what if" story. I turned down a nice bird for 30K about seven years ago.
I'll just drive the hell out of my daytona clone to make up for it.  ;D

I live in Mesa, so I really don't make it out there a whole lot...
The first Thursday of each month at 7:00 I attend a meeting of the Mopars Unlimited of Arizona at Bill Luke on Camelback and the freeway....think about it, if you can attend.  It would be nice to see a wingcar attend as mine is under the knife and will be awhile before it's on the road.....
