Our '87 Toyota 4x4 is not a bad truck at all. I wouldnt call it a favorite, but its been thru hell and high water and never crapped out on us. Its got almost 400k on it and its still tickin along. Ill drive it till it falls apart.

I had an 88 Toyota myself up until last year when a large object decided to get in my way - had 275,000 miles on it without any issues at all...    Love those trucks!

Not necessarily my fave but fairly unique, '80 Chevy 1-ton 4X4 dually powered by a 3208 Cat diesel backed up by a 5-speed Clark trans and a 2-speed Brownie.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Interesting, I'd love to see the engine bay.  I always heard the 3408's would flat pull a wet whore outta bed in the big trucks.  Never ran one.  They had that unique rattle trap, (like a diesel starting up cold) sound.  How did the 3208 sound?

I always liked the old GM products when it came to p-kups.  I had a '72 GMC & Chevy 4 x 4.  First year for front disc brakes.  I'll look for some pix.

Even though I bleed Mopar blue I could never stomach the old Power Wagons, Dodge p-kups.  Those trucks didn't miss many ugly stick beatin's.   :Twocents:

Gotta say, I love my 2005 F150 FX4 package with the step side bed.  Hands down tows better and handles a lot better than what my piece of crap 05 Hemi ram 1500 did.
