My wife unearthed this thing today while cleaning and I have no idea what it is. Looks like you plug one end into the stereo and the other end directly into your head. Any ideas?

Drache

I think the one end isnt for a stereo but instead a large plug for something electrical.

Looks like a meat temp probe for a microwave or Oven.  My old microwave came with something like that.  It plugged into a jack, on the inside of the unit.

I used to have a handle on life....but it broke off.

Ok. That's probably it. She found it along with a bunch of warranty info for a couple of our appliances, including the microwave. You can tell we're very organized around here. :P We're having a spare room worked on (sheet rock, tape, mud and texture) plus I'm still trying to find the time to finish the attic storage space I just accessed so we've got storage-type junk strewn all over the house. It's making me crazy.

Yea. She knows how to turn the key, put the car in gear and step on the gas and brakes. Other than that...

:iagree:  I inherited an ancient microwave when I left for college and it had the same thing - also never used & never needed...
