I'd be interested in know what you guys use to keep you wheel ramps stationary on a cement floor when you are driving up on them.............

Cuda Hunter

I use long 2x6's from my rear garage wall to the back of the ramps.  Otherwise you can get two people that each hold a foot on the ramps.

A383Wing

I used a long piece of indoor-outdoor carpeting....just wide enough for the ramps to sit on.....and long enough so the tire would be on the carpet before it started up the ramp....that way the ramp and carpet would not be pushed forward

Okay I like that carpet idea and going to try it.  I already have 2X4's that I use against the back wall to the back of the ramps.  Works fine, but I'm trying to get rid of stuff in the garage.

jaak

I got 2 thick (about 1/2" thick) rubber mats I place my ramps on, and they never move.

neighbor's kids!

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I got a pair of the black plastic ones that have rubber pads on the bottom of them.  They work great.  :2thumbs:

a little different approach but since im almost always alone and I hate driving up on those things, I just jack the car up and slide the ramps under the tires.
wingless now, but still around.

I once drove forwards off a set of ramps with my first '69 when my little brother didn't give me the signal to stop in time.

(Yes, I got out & kicked his ass.)

never liked those things ,  could do damage to the car if something went wrong ,

That company has some really nice stuff. I kinda like the no flat little deals that your tires sit in for winter storage.   :2thumbs:

Very nice.  I actually like the 2 piece models more, after I thought about how nice it would be to roll under the car on my creeper with the ramp section out of the way.  I seen these at Canadian Tire a week or so ago.  I'd buy them if I didn't already have to sets.  Don't think they would be "unscootable like raceramps."  Anyhow.
