What exactly is the "Core Support"?

I've heard people refer to this and tried googling images, but it wasnt real clear. What all does the core support consist of?

aka Rad Cradle - the area around the rad basically - top, sides and bottom

Is that thing hard to take off? I cant see how to take it off by looking at it.

Drop Top

To replace the core suport on a Charger or any 60s 70s Mopar, you would have to drill out spot welds. Then reweld the new one back in.

Yeah, that is what I deduced after looking at. A friend of mine told me there should be just a few bolts holding it in and since I didnt see any, I wanted to make sure I wasnt missing anything. Thanks for the confirmation.

Here's the front face of my '68 Charger....
It's basically the sheet metal to the left and right and the cross over structure above and below the opening.........
