In any case, that cop is a maniac!! he was running oncoming traffic into the shoulder.  I am all for a good chase, but I have never seen video of an american cop basically running people off the road to catch someone.

Still, driving 125 mph into oncoming traffic is pretty fraking crazy.

There's no reason to chase someone like that unless they're a murder or other forcible felony suspect.  I wouldn't trust my car/tires/other traffic at 130mph!!!

That video seems to be taped in Sweden, says so in the text in the beginning of the movie..

Im with Wakko on this, its just idiotic of the police driving a Volvo to try and keep up with that Omega.. If the cop had been on a motorcycle then it would have been different..

The cop car was actually at one point so close to the Omega that the cop could have seen the licence plate, but then again that wont matter.. The law in Sweden is a little dumb, the police always have to be able to identify the driver, so its not enough to just see the license plate number. Ex. a speeding ticket is always personal, they cant write out a ticket or charge the owner of a car afterwards with anything, they must catch or identify the person at the scene, like in this case, the video is useless cause it can only identify the car, but NOT the driver.. The video can only be used as proof if the person driving the car was caught in the act.. In Finland this would have been an easy case for the cops chasing, the cops saw the licence plate, chase ends, the owner of the car would have picked up and charged, innocent or not, the cars owner then would have to prove that he was not the one driving the car at that time...

It's speeded up, the timer is seriously fast, try the one mississippi on that one ! 
It's a clip from Sweden and it would be as in Finland like Tom said, or most if not all Western Europe, note the license plate and pay him a visit, so he must've been a very bad man that the cops chased him like idiots.
Oh and if Sweden and Finland are Durch countries, I got some serious issues understanding what they say, but knowing a sort of mix of the two, that's not so surprising

On last night's news, they showed a clip from the onboard camera of a cop in pursuit of a sportbike through one of our southern mountain areas. The cop came around a big left handed sweeper, his back end got light, he started fishtailing & went off the road into a meadow, where his car flipped end over end.
They said he was in the hospital, but ok.
The news showed that clip about 3 times (of course) & I couldn't even make out a bike in the video, so the cop must have been pretty far back. I bet next time, he just radio's ahead.

Check out how far he goes over into the oncoming lane, it's damned lucky nobody was coming the other direction, or it would have been a completely different outcome!

I was beginning to wonder how a pursuit Mustang or Camaro with an experienced driver would have fared in that situation until I read the specifications on the Lotus....Nevermind!
