I bought a set of 18" boyds and I just bought tires yesterday.  Had my buddy mount them at his shop and it only cost me a case of beer.  I think I did OK on the tires, Toyo Proxes S/T  295/45/18 and 245/45/18.  paid 600.00 for all 4.  I had started to go down a bad path. I had bought two used goodyears for the back, same 295 size as I ended up with, and at the last minute I thought better of it.

They are so gd reflective that it's actually hard to get good pics of them.  First time since HS having chrome wheels.
there is one picture where I have a red box near the wheels and the whole rim looks red.  These are probably a bit "bling" for some, but I can't help but love chargers with 17's and 18's on them.  I even saw one with 19's on the back that looked awesome (forget his username, but he sold mike mr angry, his new ride has the 19's)

also a clear illustration that the series or (height) number "40"   "50"  "60" etc... is calculated using the width of the tire.  These are both "45" series and the skinnier one is at least an inch shorter.  Perfect because I'm shooting for a look that's somewhere between all out pro touring and the "rake" that just looks naturally good on our 2nd gen chargers.

I want too....but the car is out getting painted/rebuilt after a fall accident.  I also have to run adaptors/spacers to get the right backspace and I will have to a lot of testfitting before I order them.  I have some pretty nice wheels on the car now (16'' Tq thrust II's) so it's not the end of the world.

Nice! And about the reflective glare: Depending on what kind of camera you have, use a polarizing filter and spin it until it kills the glare - never fails.

stopped by the body shop and brought a wheel with me just to lay it in there... Car is up on a jack in the rear right now and I have to get spacers to push the wheels out about an inch.

here is the new side by side with the old.  it's only about an inch taller, but the look is strikingly different.

Nice wheels and tires....I believe that wheels make the car, you can change the entire look of a car by changing the wheels.  I put the Foose equivilent of these on my wife's..(whispering)...Mustang.
Cut to size, Beat to fit, Paint to match.

I agree that they could be more "deep"
with that said, I believe them to be "deeper" than the pics indicate.  the bottom of the spokes actually start almost in the middle of the wheel, then the "curve" out towards you as you look at them.  the result isthat the middle of the spokes and the hub are further "out" than the outer edge ofthe wheel..  the brightness actually makes it tough to really get a good look at them.  Since I have to run spacers I will make sure they are out towards the edge of the wheel well as far as possible.  I can't wait to see them when the car is actually sitting on the ground.

truth be told, these may not be the answer and I may end up using 16" I already have.  who knows....I gotta see them in the "final" version with the car done..

thanks for all of the support guys, even you silver!!   ;D
