There is another thread started with this cover shot, but I am posting in this thread for comparison to the spy pictures...

Anyone still think the spy pics are photochops?... :nana:

Uh oh, now I am worried about that lower front below the grill, it looks too much like it is smiling, should be straight, doesn't look as tough as it could.   Rest of the car is great though.      Ya, fake spy shots, that cover is a photoshop too.      JK   :icon_smile_big:

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Yeah, I'm stubborn.   :D :nana:

Me too OM!  :yesnod:

Guess it comes with old age...  :brickwall: at least in my case!

Of course, I haven't seen it yet in person... just living on faith (with maybe just a touch of inside information).

Would ya believe me if I told you a 'Cuda is coming also?  :stirthepot: Stay tuned, its gonna be a wild year of 2006!

BTW, I surprised no one has said "look at the headlights on that thing!"  :scope: :D :lolexplode:

I never thought it was photoshopped. I just don't think they'll build it.... yeah ... the concept car is hot, but so was the Charger.... in 1999 ::)

Way to cool, might have to sell the six-pack Charger for one of those. the Challenger i mean, not the boring 4 door Intrepid replacement. :icon_smile_big:
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

I think a lot of the photoshop feelings (at least mine), probably stemmed from the fact that those first pix were overworked versions of the originals.

Someone washed out and smeared parts of the photo in their rush to brighten and zoom in.

Probably just due to being overzealous, but it makes those shots look 'doctored'.

The cover shot looks good though.

Modern grille/fascia combos don't fair as well due to the internal bumpers IMO.

BTW, does DCX have 4,000,000 gallons of that burnt orange paint laying around that they need to use up? I'm getting a little fed up with that color.

Bull, bummer to hear that, but I think there are many who probably agree with you about that color. What REALLY sucks is that I had a custom version of that color mixed in 2002, LONG before ANYONE was painting their rods, new cars, etc...that color. I pi$$es me off because now I'm second guessing that color choice, and I still really love it. I just can't imagine hearing "Hey, isn't that the NEW Charger color you have on your 69?" Sure, I was slightly ahead of the times on my color choice, but what good does that do me know? :rotz:

The Hemi price tag will probably be right near where the SRT Magnacharger's tag is...$48,000 if I recall.
Convertible?? Just bump that figure by 10-15%

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

The MSRP of a BASE Charger SRT-8 is $35,000.00.  If you check every box on the option list, you'll be nudging 40 grand.

Figure the Challenger SRT's price tag will hover around that.

  To me?..
it looks like the center of gravity is higher and narrow in proportion compared with the '70... which has beautifl archs to it's stance upon the wheels, this one looks drawn with a t-square,.. slab sided, narrow windows (a big complanint on all the LXs,.).   no detail or "jewelry" as they say,..   but ya know the wings and such arn't far behind.
I guess tape stripes are cheap huh?.. so far the surface detailing is plain... baised on looks the original is the stunner,.. to me..
  But!..
...im gonna go out on a limb and say if they can/do shave 300 lbs off this as a   prod. car it's gonna be the class of the field..   :yesnod:
best a convertable..
compare that to this.. which is admittadly a bit overdone...

or... we'll know in a month...  ;D

That Camaro sketch is pretty cool, but still has the lower grill airintake thing that looks like it is smilling.   Sort of like how the 71 and 72 Camaros front end isn't tough looking, though the back was cool on those with the round headlights.   But the front shouldn't be having the Herby the love bug look, smiling thing.

Here is more how I see the front air intake on the Challenger, : sorry I couldn't get it quite perfect with my photo program, but close enough.      On their new Challenger I really like the double round headlights and the grill though.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.
