I like it the way it is, but odds are whoever buys it will probably take it back to stock. Personally I'd just drive it the way it is, and enjoy it like people used to enjoy Daytona's and Superbirds when I was growing up. They drove them just like any other cars, didn't put them on a trailer, just got in them, packed the trunk and drove it to the shows and had a grand old time.

yeah but out numbers are growing smaller and smaller. I'm still looking forward to putting around 2,500-4,000 miles on the 500 this year. In a couple more years it will roll over 100,000. Who cares though right, its meant to be driven.

it was cool watching the B5's odometer roll back to zero two years ago.  just make sure you're paying attention--you'll kick yourself if you miss it!

I don't know how many of those I have in boxes here...I take them off immediately when cars come in. 

Don't forget red heater hoses, clamp-on heads on battery cables, red battery hold-down brackets, rad overflow bottles, electronic modules and air shocks.  :icon_smile_big:

Well I think I have a few years to go before it rolls 100K, as i think its around 82K right now. Was at 75 or 76K when purchased, so at current pace I might even be 35 before it hits 100K.

Wow, I think I'll tell my boss about this car.  Maybe he'll buy it too!  Just kidding.... no one shoot me.  I'd love to see this car left alone.... lakepipes and all.  If you notice, this car also takes on a former Petty paintjob.  Think back to the 71/72 Road Runners.  It's amazing how many of these custom wing cars are actually still out there.  I'd love to see what it sells for.

We all are entitled to our opinion, I like the paint job and unless it really needed a resto., I would leave it like it is. Of course I am also a racing fanatic so it goes without saying. My  :Twocents:

Oh by the way in case my wife is on here, that would be a perfect B-Day present.

Steve I think that the odds of your wife being on here and reading that are about the same as my wife being on here and reading that i want a Daytona and going through with it. Seems we are both way short on the odds.

Good point Danny, but us guys can dream can't we.  :smilielol: I was still hoping that she was going to buy me one of Ed's Hemi 500's but that didn't happen. When he said he sold the R6 one I was just hoping with all my might, but no.

How was your trip, I was hoping to hear from you but figured you guys had a pretty full schedule already. Hopefully next time you guys go to see Gene's car I can meet you out there.

I didn't make the trip, Gene wound up going solo this past weekend. I stayed home, had some family ordeals/issues to deal with. Would not hear the end of it if I managed to miss the last sign up dates for our son to play baseball this summer, not from him or her. That was only 1 of the issues.
