I did a search but could not find the answer. I have the roof panel stripped bare and cleaned all the sealer out of the roof jams. The question is do I apply the seam sealer to bare metal before I prime or after words. I dont want it to start lifting. thanks

apply etching primer followed by epoxy primer then seam sealer or atleast one of the primers, never apply seam sealer over bare metal, and whatever you do, do not use 3M Fast 'n Firm junk

I can't believe they put their  name on that product , it shrinks up

Rayzor

Ok so after the epoxy base. So three M is junk. What other brand do you recomend. I had shrinking problems last time. and the edges seemed to be lifting. I thought it was caused by the thinner and being applied over primer.

I've used 3M's Heavy Drip-Chek sealer. That seems to work OK for me.
