Do you think black forest pearl would look nice on a 72 charger?

Troy

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

IBsmokin

here it is.

I was thinking about painting my new charger this color, then add about 3 coats of clear coat on top, then put on a new white vinyl top with a white and forest green interrior.

Hard to tell from that pic. To me it looks flat black.

it is a dark green and when the sun hits it, it has a pearl shine to it. simuliar to a flip color as the car passes.

IB, who makes that paint?

That's the kind of colour I'm looking for.  So dark it almost looks black, but with a green sheen/shimmer when looking at it from the right angle.

My car is triple green, based on F3, but it's too light for my taste...even F8 isn't as darg as I'd like.  67/68  GG-1 is getting there...maybe I should check out the Lexus dealer...?

I kinda regret not painting my car a darker colour. I like the darker colours more now.

Great TM!  I've got some body work to do but would really like to see what a car looks like in that Lexus Forest Pearl.  I think that that colour and GG-1 are the closet thing to what I had in mind...F8 still not dark enough for my tastes.  Where did you have your car painted in T.O., BTW?

Mines not that colour. Mines sublime green.

I got mine painted at car star.

Not a bad job but a few small flaws I noticed.

Check TM, I knew you were Sublime, just mentioning that GG1 or that Black Forest Pearly would be what I'm aiming for.

Car Star is pretty good...the one in Kingston did a great job on my 540i when some idiot smoked me in a Home Depot parking lot.

I decided to make up my own color, I am gonna go with a mix of 1/2 seafrost green and 1/2 silver pearl, it should be a light greyish green silver pearl color and I will add blue satin pearl powder to the clear coat to give it a bluish ting in the sunlight and then I will go with a black vinyl top and black fiber glass hood with black R/T stripe on rear.  So what do guys think?

IB, I can't remember, do you have a gen 2 or gen 3 Charger?  That combo sounds like it would work well for a 2nd gen, but I generally like darker colours on a 3rd gen, hence my desire for a very dark green.  I like the idea of a bit of pearl in the paint, and just hope that I'd never have to match a panel if someone scratched the car...

IB, I'll give you a hollar next time I come in to town to drink with buds at the Lower Deck, then shall I?  Check out the corral and all!  ;D

p.s.  the paint colour you described still sounds cool, just not sure how light colours do on a 3rd gen...definately a pes choice type of thing...not sure if that makes sense at all...
