I read that Mopar is reviving the Direct Connection name and will be selling parts as Direct Connection again.

Hopefully they'll sell more than just bling and plastic and offer real performance stuff again.

And bring back the poster girls!!!

So I can break out my old d><c  decals and paste them on my car?

RallyeMike

Hopefully they will revive some of the D-C quality engineers too.

they also brought us the err,.. "Charger" soon the "Aspen" and goodness knows the Daytonas and such... the way the Company has gone
Direct Connection is probably a phone line into DCX Credit Card voice mail...

Same parts but with a retro label.  The jackets and t-shirts get more promo dollars than the parts.  DCX wants to cash in on as much weepy nostalgia as they can before we get tired of it.

Then again, maybe Hakim is beginning to make some inroads.

I'm old enuf to prefer Direct Connection...  never did like the MP name change.    So if Hakim can make a few bucks selling t-shirts and whatnot so that they can afford to bring out some other new stuff that's great.

I want a set of chrome D-C valve covers.   I'll keep checking ebay... not cheap anymore.

I wasn't crazy about the name change either.  I'm jaded (can ya tell) on DCX and the way they want to cash in on nostalgia but dis the dinosaurs all in the same breath.  However, I know Hakim is a hardcore Mopar freak so I'm trying to be positive that he'll bring about some change in the performance line.  And he has made some positive ones already so...

Brain, you want to talk about being old? I remember when it was called Mopar Hussel Stuff. :icon_smile_big: That is old.
