Yup, it's the Al Gore signature electric car, kind of like the Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer, but in this case humans are not allowed to participate.

Don't get me going on that knucklehead, my wife just HAD to see his mockumentary last night where he pretends he's saving the world but a little paying attention shows the real message was his bitterness at not being elected.
As for the elctric cars themselves, I guess I'd rather see Dodge at the leading edge than left behind and the styling of that thing sure outdoes some of the golf carts with cabs that are currently marketed.  If they're safe, cheap, practical and attractive there's no good reason not to consider one.

I read that TIME article on the big three in the doctors office the other day, and they bashed Chrysler. They said:
"Chrysler being the odd one out, they are developing a electric vehicle platform that isn't going to get anybody excited. The best outlook they have is a merger with a company that has the better developing sources if they wish to stay alive." :brickwall:

I think that car looks pretty cool, and lets hope it saves Chrysler so we can all buy parts from MoPar in the future. :yesnod: :icon_smile_big: :2thumbs:

Ghoste

It's very popular for the media to bash Chrysler and pretty much always has been.  It wouldn't be so bad except that the very same writers who bash Chrysler (or Detroit in general) will turn around and if Toyota presented them with a wind up car build out of partially hardened goat turd, they'd fall all over themselves talking about how goat turds on wheels are the greatest thing since man learned to hit things with wooden clubs.

WingCharger

I think they will be successful if released. :yesnod:

PS: Don't forget Toyota's new Tundra blowing up, & being recalled needing new cams/etc.

Kind of weird that it has the styling of Dodge cars before the Mercedes take over...kind of Stratus coupe like.

But you'll notice it's gone in the picture above your post. :2thumbs:

BTW, people don't necessarily hate the crosshairs grill design, they just don't want to see it on EVERY FRIGGIN' CAR DODGE MAKES!!!! Why limit the design creativity like that? Design gimmicks like that weren't used back when our classic Mopars were being made and the company did well because they had unique designs that were very different from each other. For example, in 1970 there were very few overt design queues between models other than small items like marker lights and interiors. The Challenger was very different from the Charger which was very different from the Super Bee which was very different from the trucks, etc. In many ways you couldn't tell they were made by the same company, and they did quite well because of the designs. Hell, many of the cars back then didn't even have the name Dodge anywhere on them.

Car doesn't look all that bad. Not my cup of tea, but if your going to get an electric car at least this one looks half way decent.

Ghoste

And as for being a hater, if I don't like something then tough, that's what I am.  You can say I'm a hater but I prefer to think of myself as someone who can decide for himself what he likes and doesn't like without having others tell me.  I don't call the people who automatically like the crosshair grille names.
Incidentally, my feelings on the crosshair grille are exactly what Bull said. Great for minivans, ugly for a certain mid size four door family car.

Silver R/T

Looks better than any of other competitor's cars I've seen.
