Who has the best deal and best quality on the 69 Charger front and rear reproduction bumpers. Seems like that would be a good item for a group buy.

At EVERY car show I attend, There ALWAYS seems to be that group of guy's (I cannot remember their names) that will take your "core" bumpers for what seems to be a very good cost on one of their shinny (new?) chrome bumpers. I cannot attest to the quality or "correctness" of these bumpers but, the price sure does seem right. I live in NE Ohio. the car shows would be; Randolph Swap meet, Canfield Swap meet, Mopar Nats near Columbus and All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle

I would be interested in seeing what they have to offer.

If you are referring to the "Bumper Boyz", stay away.  :rotz:

Do quick search, their names have been mentioned here before. Cheap chrome, that peels after a few years. Grinder marks galore.

I was always told to avoid the bumper boyz.

Ghoste

Unless you see them at a show and the crew of illegal immigrants they hired to work are all boozed up and they'll take a cash offer of 100 bucks with no core exchange.  If something like that happened you might want to get a set even if you knew you were going to have to replace them in a few years.  Thats all hypothetical of course.

I am getting fiberglass bumpers and going to use some chrome spray that is worlds better than the stuff from a few years ago.

From what i hear tri city plating does a nice job....i've seen a few set on cars and they looked fine.  :2thumbs:

I went with a set of repro bumpers from Year One and those were made by Goodmark....i am happy with the quality and fit. They were purchased with a 20% discount code and cost around $500 for the pair....which was less than having just one rechromed locally. I still have my originals as cores as well which are in fantastic shape (no rust, no dings) other than faded Chrome.

They have gone up a lot since you bought yours. Plus they want 238.00 to ship. The shipping negates all discounts. Being that they are goodmark I have found a vendor that will sell both for 630.00 to my door which is the route I will take for now. I think. Tri city is 830.00 to do mine plus shipping both ways so I figure it will tally in the 930.00 to 950.00 range.

I also went for the Goodmark ones, nice stuff. :2thumbs:

Yep, mine were purchased 2 years ago and that $500 price didn't include shipping. It was a large order so shipping was not cheap (it never is with Y1  :P) but the whole order was less than $200 from Georgia to upstate Vt. I guess shipping costs have increased substantially.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

That being said, your price of $630 shipped is excellent.  :2thumbs: You will be happy with them  :icon_smile_big:

I don't know what repro brand I got (the body shop ordered them) but they're pretty wavy. I've seen other bumpers of the same make on other Chargers and they look ok straight on but when you stand beside the car and look down the length of them it looks like ripples in a pond.

I have a set of AMD's. Not on the car yet but I really like the look and the overall qualitiy.
When comared with the original ones, I'm convinced that proper fitment will be no issue....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
