Fuel pump gasket only, or some kind of goop?

Hey,

I'm going to change my fuel pump this weekend, on my '73 400, if the weather's nice enough.  Never done one, but looks pretty simple.  I'm wondering, though... should I go metal-gasket-metal and call that good enough?  Or should I use some kind of gasket sealing goop?  If so, any recommendations on what kind?

Thanks!

Clean off the block..if is in good shape with no pitting just use the paper gasket. If theres a chance it might leak just use a little black permatex. Also make sure you get the rod that moves the pump to rest on TOP of the pump when your putting the new one in. It might give you some trouble if you have big hands.
