My buddy was going to finally get rid of his 1984 Vette that had been sitting for over 6 years. The guy was coming last Sunday and called on Saturday to ask if it ran.

So, fhe goes out, throws a marine battery in and it starts right up.

nh, that was funny, cruel to do to a friend, but funny.  Wing, the doghouse is a nickname for the trans tunnel but it's typically only used in cases where it's removable like large trucks or vans.  This guy could be the butt of a joke or he could be a trucker with a rusty Dart looking for a trans tunnel, who knows?

Actually ANY front end - stock or 1-piece is often refered to as the "doghouse" here in the midwest.
