Hey gang..
OK, I'm puzzled and I plead the 5th... I should know, but this is my first Hemi to put together... How in the world does the dipstick tube fasten to the motor/tranny in the back?

Troy, the dipstick tube should have a tab/bracket welded onto it with a hole on the end. Once you press the tube into the trans case the hole in the welded tab will line up with the bellhousing to engine bolt that holds the engine and trans together. You 4 spd guys !!!

Oh, I've had plenty of 440/727 combinations and can do those blind-folded... It's the "hemi" part that's new...   :icon_smile_big:

Questioned answered..   :2thumbs:  Posted by Jim over at Moparts.........

The attach point is the heat tube-to-exhaust manifold, not the bellhousing like on 727...  You 727 guys !!!........   :icon_smile_big:

Good pics Troy....thanks for posting.  :2thumbs:

That's the first "hemi" 727 dipstick tube i've seen....i mistakenly assumed that it was the same as a 383/440 setup.  :P

No problem Ron..........  Those dang valve covers are in the way of that traditional B/RB-727 routing..
