I've been adding GM EOS additive to my oil for the zinc, and now it's not made any more

what have you been using now?  I'm using Shell Rotella 15W 40

I saw an advertisement for ZZDPlus Oil Additive - has anyone used it?

I think the GM stuff has just gone to a new part number but in any case there is a real good thread about this stickied to the top of this forum titled "Warning, if you are using a flat tappet cam read this.  There is a lot of good info there.

Comp Cams has a good additive for flat tappet cams.

I am planning on using the ZDDPlus.  If you read through all the data referenced you will see that the ZDDPlus has plenty of the components missing from the current oil products.  In fact, it has more of these than the GM EOS does.  I had asked about it in a earlier thread and the experts on here have indicated that it will work just fine.

I am quite a ways away from actually starting an engine myself so I, like you, would also like to hear from folks that have actual field experience with it.

In case we don't hear from anyone,  I doubt you would go wrong with the Comp Cams additive suggested.  They wouldn't sell this for use with their cams unless it worked.
