I have the posibility to get very cheap NOS heads... what's the number you think is the best ones to choose (  open chambers )

I've always heard 915s are the best because they're not open chambers, but I guess that's not what you're asking, huh? :P

Sorry, I've never really seen much comparison of the open chamber heads...  906's seem to be the most common, but I don't know if that has anything to do with performance...

452's have the hardened seats and are virtually identical to the other open chamber heads.

best heads in stock or modified form?  if stock, go with what 694spdRT stated, if to modify, find some 346's.

They all pretty much flow the same but the later 452's have hardened exhaust seats as mentioned above. My choice would be a 452 casting with a mild bowl port for additional flow.

I'm talking about stock basically without modify... I confirmed one dealer has 452, not sure the other dealer. In fact I think my Charger should it has the 452 ones, but the valves guides are 015 oversized. One of them it is broken around the valve cover bolts area so I was thinking on replace and get joined another heads. I already have NOS double springs and metallic head gasket to get some "extra" compression. Maybe in fact some minimal milled down.

Damn good artcle... thanks Jamey.

I want to get these stuff with some other stuff to me ( NOS engine mounts ) and some more to send up there and sell :D

basically as stated above , any Open chamber head is about = unmodified or ported , the 452 has the advantage of hardened seat If you are not rebuilding them  otherwise they are virtually =
