In hood turn signal help

Hey there Moparites, gotta question for ya. Can someone tell me what kind of piece is supposed to fit over the actual orange lense in a 68/70 Charger. I'm trying to install mine but when I stick them in the cutouts in the hood, there is still like a 1/8 inch  gap on both sides of it. Is this normal or am I missing an outer cover of some sort? Can someone tell me what I need and include a pic or two of your own and how it looks. Unfortunately I installed my MSD 6-AL right below where the hole is. I know they are made so that they can drain out, but I don't like the thought of it getting rained on. Thanks mucho.
