 hey anybody bend up a mopar performance adjustible pinion snubber ?
just go my car running 69 charger with 493 rb and hemi four speed . bent the crap out of this thing first hard launch . whats up ?
dont thease things take any power ? put the stock one on but that is not adjustable. any ideas ?

My issue with the MP ones was always that they wouldn't fit well unless you were running Super Stock springs but I can't say I ever bent one.  I have one of those threaded adjustable ones one my car now and it seems to be heavier duty than the MP ones I've used in the past but my car for sure doesn't make enough power to bend either one.

What does a pinion snubber do? :-\ I have seen them advertised in magazines, but can't figure it out.

I have a friend that bent one on a 4 speed with big tires and a healthy stroker.  Never seen it before, but now 2.

The pinion snubber bolts on the top of the forward snout of your rearend.   When you launch the car and the axle attempts to twist over, the snubber bangs against the floor pan and stops that wasted motion of the rearend and thereby improves traction.

Same concept as traction bars that bolt to the axle on either side below the leaf springs and a rubber bumper on the traction bar bumps against the bottom of the spring pack near the front of the leaf under hard accleration, right?

Same thoery but the nice thing about the snubber is that it still allows Chryslers biased leaf springs to do their job as well.

Yeah, that's the deal. 

It's essentially not a streetable item when it's adjusted close enough to the floorpan to do the job though.  That's partly why people want these things with a very wide range of adjustability.
