magnums or cragar ss????????????

hoping to get some new tyres and wheels in the next couple of months,narrowed my selection down to either magnum 500s or cragar ss.15 inch
10 inch width on the back and 8 on the front.
what do you guys think i should go for?

Dont get unalug, they suck.  Have them on my charger now, it came with them.  I wsas driving it to a friend's house to have him do some work on it.  I saw things shoot across the road from underneath my car.  I thought it might have been a rock or something, boy was I wrong.  It was my lug nuts working themselves loose, and flying across the road.  Eventually I lost my left front tire, damaged my fender, and about lost my lunch over the whole mess.  Guy at the tire place said he has had numerous reports of Cragers unalug doing this.  So beware, if you go Crager, stay far away from unalug.

Cragar uniligs are fine. Just recheck them often and keep those lugs nuts tight.!!

I take it they're for a 68 Charger right ?

I'd go the 500's. Not convinced in Uni - lug wheels and just think standard type wheels look better.

Cragars and Magnums, the only two wheels I truly love so go either way and you'll be a kindered spirit.

I agree with John. Both are great looking wheels.. I am a big fan of the Cragar S/S wheels but much preferred the direct bolt pattern of old. So, toss up here........

still no further on.
i was at a cruise in florida in august and every mopar had either magnums or cragars.
before i went it was cragars all the way(check out vegas mikes charger,who s car should be a poster for cragars!)
while i was there i was thinking of magnums
my final decision will probably be what i choose when i have the money available

cragar SS were big back in the early-mid sixties (showing my age); by 68 they had some competition...and the original style charger wheels would keep that "factory hi-po" look going...so either would look good...i prefer the ss for street use...500's for show...but in either case, you'll stay out of trouble if you keep your nuts on tight...

I ran that set up Cragar SS on my Charger for years with uni-lugs and never had a problem, I recently changed them out for the 14" Rallye wheels that I had on there before, and I really like them, it's amazing what a few years will do for your taste in wheels and tires, back then I hated the stock size tires, but now I think its looks better, I always liked the look of the Rallye wheels over the the magnum, I never liked that oversize center cap, they look good with the short Ford cap but that is a different discussion all together.
